Man bliver rig af at gi’

Pludselig gav det mening for mig, at det ikke var blevet til så meget med at komme af med vores brugte børneting. Følelsen var nok i sig selv, da vi kørte en trailer fyldt med tøj, legetøj og børnemøbler ud på Esbjergvej 108 i Kolding. Her stod Karina, Andreas og Ann fra New Start klar til at tage imod mine donationer til de Syriske flygtninge, der kommer til Kolding og som kan komme ud og hente tøj, køkkengrej mm. fra den 14. november.

Avisartikler og den heftige debat om Danmarks muligheder for at tage godt imod flygtninge har sat et kæmpe aftryk i mit hjerte. Jeg græder indeni når mennesker i nød bliver mødt med mistro omkring deres årsag til at flygte. Ville vi ikke selv tage benene og vores børn på nakken og tage det første og bedste tog til et sikkert sted, hvis der var krig i Danmark? Specielt videoen hvor en far efter en lang tur i mørke, genfinder sine to små børn i god behold, har gjort et kæmpe indtryk på mig. Det må være det mest frygtindgydende at forlade sit land og i bogstaveligste forstand træde ud i uvished.

Så den fornemmeste opgave for os må være at gøre, hvad der står i vores magt for at tage godt imod dem, der kommer og sikre at de kommer til at have det godt her.

Hos Barn i Danmark er vi blevet kæmpe fan af et initiativ, som startede hos Karina Lorentzen Dehnhardt og Jesper Elkjær og som nu er organiseret som en forening, nemlig New Start med Ann Meier som formand. Det er da også blevet så stor en succes, at de knap kan følge med der ude på Esbjergvej! Målt på de mange poser, der er indleveret i den nedlagte landejendom, som Kolding Kommune har stillet til rådighed for foreningen, har Koldingenserne fanget budskabet om at komme ud med vintertøj. Og de tager imod med kyshånd. Det er en dejlig fornemmelse at vide, at det tøj og de senge mine børn er vokset ud af nu kommer direkte ud til nogen, der har rigtig meget brug for det, helt uden omkostningstunge mellemled. Det føles helt rigtigt!

Så her er der en rigtig god anledning til at få ryddet op derhjemme og taget stilling til alt det, du ikke længere bruger eller som du måske endda aldrig har brugt. Husk, hvis en ting ikke har en plads, eller du rent faktisk har fået noget andet, du bruger i stedet, så er det tid til at finde et nyt hjem til den:-)
